MM2H Fixed Deposit

POST CONDITIONAL APPROVAL (APPLICANT COMES TO MALAYSIA)

Applicant is required to plan a trip to Malaysia for 3 working days within 6 months from the date of Conditional Approval.

The following final procedures must then be completed for endorsement of the MM2H Visa :-

1.      Open the required Fixed Deposit Account in any bank located in Malaysia.

Aged 50 Years And Above

Open fixed deposit account of MYR150,000

 OR

Show proof of Government Approved Pension Funds of MYR10,000.

  • After period of one year, participant who fulfills the fixed deposit criterion can withdraw up to MYR50,000 for approved expenses relating to property purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes.
  • Participant must maintain a minimum balance of MYR100,000 from the second year onwards and throughout his/her stay in Malaysia under this programme.
  • Approved participants who have purchased and owned property which were bought at MYR1million and above in Malaysia may comply with the basic fixed deposit requirement of MYR100,000. This amount may not be withdrawn until the participant decides to terminate his/her interest in MM2H programme.

 

Aged 50 Years And Below

Open fixed deposit account of MYR300,000

  • After period of one year, participant may withdraw up to MYR150,000 for approved expenses relating to property purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes.
  • Participant must maintain a minimum balance of MYR150,000 from the second year onwards and throughout his/her stay in Malaysia under this programme.
  • Approved participants who have purchased and owned property which were bought at MYR1million and above in Malaysia may comply with the basic fixed deposit requirement of MYR150,000. This amount may not be withdrawn until the participant decides to terminate his/her interest in MM2H programme.
